After 10 international festivals on 5 different continents and one very special award in our home land of Suffolk, it's finally time to release our short film Aeolian to the rest of the world.

I pleased to annouce that Aeolian has just picked up the Best Animation Award at the first ever Suffolk Film Festival! The festvial took place over the weekend in Ipswich and screened over a hundred shorts selected from over 500 entries. This award means a lot to me and my co-director Cameron Lowe as we both grew up in this area. Having had my work screen at over 60 international festivals it's wonderful to have a film festival so close to home that supports and showcases the new talent this area has to offer. Our thanks go out to the jury and to everyone that has helped support our film.

After two years on the festival circut and over 25 screenings worldwide, my award winning short documentary Simply Rob is now available to view online. Hopefully the film will reach an even wider audience and help spread Rob's inspirational work. Thanks to everyone involved in the film but particularly Rob Vassilarakis for allowing me to share his story and his poetry.

I'm finally back at the desk with an hour to spare so I'd thought I'd update you all on the last few months. As you know I've been in New Zealand recently which was incredible. We started on the North Island in Auckland, hired a campervan and worked our way south before hopping over to the South Island and ending our trip in Christchurch. The landscape, the people, the food, the culture. Not forgetting the exceptional wine. A truly magical and diverse country.

As another year draws to a close, an exciting one awaits. 2012 has been an extrodinary year and one I'm not likely to forget. Simply Rob continues it's festival run with it's next screening at the Bloomington Pride festival whilst Aeolian's next screening will be at the 30th Environmental International Film Festival in Paris. We are planning to release Aeolian online in the New Year too so keep a look out for the full film.

I'm pleased to annouce that Simply Rob has won a special award at the I've Seen Films International Film Festival in Milan.

This festival run by actor Rutger Hauer is now in it's 5th year and has gone from strength to strength becoming one of the leading festivals for independant film in Italy.

The award was for Best Social Awareness Film and was the only award presented by Rutger himself in front of an audience of over 250 people. The jury included Joan Chen, Robert Rodriguez and Jason Eisener.
