And what an amazing Summer it has been (excluding the distinct lack of sunshine). I have to say London has never been on better form and the Olympics were fantastic. I'm very much looking forward to the Paraolympics and hope the Olympic hangover after it's all over isn't going to linger on too long.
Anyway Olympics aside it's been another busy month with three commercial jobs on, the first of which shot this week, with the next two shooting in September.
I'm also excited to announce that Aeolian has been selected to screen at Shint International Film Festival! This Swiss based festival in Bern is the largest short film festival in Switzerland and has screenings in 6 cities around the world including Cape Town, Singapore and San Jose. Selected from over 6500 entries Aeolian will screen with 64 other shorts from around the globe. I hoping to make it out to Bern for the screening.
Simply Rob continues it's festival run too with screenings at the San Francisco United Film Festival (it's third festival in San Francisco) and it's Irish Premiere at the Kerry International Film Festival. I'm proud to say that the film has screened at over 20 festivals now in 8 countries and I'm currently in talks about expanding the project into a feature.
Finally in the pipeline is another fiction short. It's been on the cards for a while now but due to schedules and what have you it's had to be postponed. I'm hoping to shoot it this Autumn.
That's it for now. Over and out.
